Fr. Bill Midgett is the founding priest and pastor at Christ the King. He felt his calling to the priesthood during the summer of 1990 after a career in the nuclear Navy followed by time spent in the commercial nuclear utility industry. He and his family eventually pulled up roots in August 1998 from northern Virginia and relocated to Sewanee Theological Seminary where he began his studies and training for ordained ministry. After graduating seminary, he began his ordained ministry on July 1, 2001, as the Deacon-in-Charge at Trinity Episcopal church, Winchester. After his ordination to the priesthood in December 2001 he was made Rector at Trinity. He served there until January 6, 2008, at which time Christ the King, The Way Forward was established (see “Our Story”).

Fr. Bill continues to lead Christ the King congregation on a path of lifelong discipleship to our Lord, Jesus Christ. Not for a day, or once a week, but for a lifetime.
