"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'" (Matt. 25:40, NIV)
We reach out to our local Franklin County community in a variety of ways. These include:
Financially supporting community organizations like The Blue Monarch and Life Choices.
Provide volunteer support to the Franklin County Backpack program and to Life Choices.
Provide Christmas gifts to children in need at a local school through our Project Angel Tree ministry.
Prayer Shawl Ministry. Through loving hands, prayer shawls and caps are knitted with prayer and distributed to those in need of comfort and prayer within Franklin County and beyond.
Feed My Lambs. Through our volunteers CtK provides a monthly food distribution to the community on the 3rd Saturday morning of the month. Food is supplied by Feed America First.
Support with prayer and finances an Anglican Missionary Farmily (Luke and Abby) serving overseas in Northern Africa.
In addition, we financially support the gospel ministries of our Anglican sisters and brothers in the Anglican Diocese of the South, the Anglican Church in North America, and other Anglican provinces. We also provide disaster relief support as needed to the Anglican Relief and Development Fund (e.g., for survivors of natural disasters, etc.,).
We at Christ the King continually endeavor to reach further into the needs of our community with God's transforming love and grace. As we continue to serve and love others as Jesus did and taught, we expect the above list of activities to continually grow within our Franklin County community and beyond.
